Cosmetic Dentistry - Dentures

With Dentures, you no longer have to let missing teeth ruin your beautiful smile! Dentures are removable false teeth that are used to replace your missing teeth. Dr. Burstein will meet with you to discuss whether full dentures or partial dentures are best for you.

Full Dentures

Convential Full Dentures

Conventional full dentures allow you to get that perfect fit the first time. After all your remaining teeth are removed and your tissue has healed, Dr. Burstein will take an impression of your mouth to get your custom-made dentures. Unfortunately, with conventional dentures it can take several months for your tissue to heal, during which time you are without teeth.

Immediate Full Dentures

Immediate full dentures gives you the added benefit of receiving your dentures right away. Your dentures are initially created from measurements taken prior to the removal of your teeth. Therefore, once all of your teeth have been removed, we can place your dentures at that time. While immediate dentures offer the benefit of never having to be without your teeth, they must be relined several months after being inserted. The reason is that the bone supporting the teeth reshapes as it heals, causing the denture to become loose.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used on those who only have several missing teeth. The partial denture rests on a metal framework that attaches to your natural teeth. In some cases, crowns are used as anchors on some of your natural teeth.
